It is hard to describe the satisfaction of seeing your ideas in print. And it is even harder to convey the feeling you get when you realize that your ideas have been shared with and used by thousands of people whom you will never meet.
I've published many different kinds of materials over the last 25 years, including books, games, websites, and now smart phone apps. I've had my work published by small and large companies, and I've self-published as well. And over this time, as you might expect, I've acquired a significant amount of knowledge and more than a few opinions of how people who want to help others can get their ideas published and read by thousands of people in the U.S. and around the world.
This blog is about what I have learned in the past 25 years, and about what I continue to learn almost every day. In the last five years there has been a revolution in the publishing industry, and these changes have made it so much easier for individuals to publish their books or other products. If you have ever thought about publishing your ideas and sharing your knowledge with others, then this is the time to do it.
I'll be updating this blog at least twice a week to share my ideas about to get published and get read. I'll be covering a wide variety of issues on publishing in a random order, usually responding to a question I've been asked, or something new that I've read. Please let me know if there is some way I can help you help others through writing and publishing by responding to a post.
